Sotiris Foutsis, the General Manager of the University of New York in Prague

The University of New York in Prague (UNYP) has worked together with the State University of New York, Empire State College for more than 20 years, bringing American degrees to the Czech Republic. This private English-speaking university offers both three-year Czech bachelor programs as well as four-year American bachelor programs taught entirely in English to its students who come from over 75 countries.

The University is open to new partnerships and exchanges and one of these is with Dublin Business School (DBS) to bring new post-graduate degrees to Prague. The cooperation is a result of a continuous effort to expand the offer of Master degrees in Prague and within the UNYP community. The degree programmes will be approved by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) and also by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT).

Sotiris Foutsis, the General Manager of the University of New York in Prague said that UNYP has created a portfolio of solid bachelor programs and they are proud to bring prestigious partner institutions from all over the world to provide top-quality education to UNYP students and therefore the new partnership with Dublin Business School.

He added: “We are very excited to bring a new esteemed partner to the Czech market. We are still in process of tailoring the new master’s program but I can say that they will be highly demanded skill sets that will suit the needs of business and marketing professions.”

The President of the new partner, Andrew Conlan-Trant said about this exciting development for both institutions: “DBS is a global institution with alumni from over 80 countries. In line with our strategic objectives, it also allows us to develop a strong international ethos to build further on our international reach and reputation. We look forward to developing many more collaborations globally like the one announced in the Czech Republic today”.

More than 100 undergraduate and postgraduate programs are offered by Dublin Business School, an independent third-level institution in Ireland with 9,000 students.
