
Studying UK degree in Germany with Lancaster University

More UK universities open campuses in Europe to attract international students. Some partner with European universities and higher education institutions or some open their own branches for example like Lancaster University.
Lancaster University, UK, opened the first branch campus Lancaster University Leipzig in Germany. As the EU students are no longer eligible for the UK home tuition fees, the students (both from EU or worldwide) can apply to study for UK university degree in Germany and pay lower tuition fees. All students whether German, EU and international students are welcomed.
The degrees offered are the same structurally and academically as the ones taught in the UK. Students can choose to study undergraduate degrees in Business Management, Accounting and Finance, Computer Science and Software Engineering.
Students can apply for degree lasting 3 years or start with a foundation programme that will prepare them for their further studies. The B.Sc degree programmes are taught by the university and a Lancaster University accredited foundation programme delivered by Navitas which is a global education provider.
All tuition is in English and the students do not need to speak German to apply but they are encouraged to study German alongside their studies.
Since the pandemic, the university set safety protocols and measures based on the guidance of relevant German authorities updated accordingly to the situation. The delivery is whenever allowed and possible in person but currently has been online.
The university also organizes online Virtual open days for potential students who are interested in applying with a presentation of the school, programme and the city of Leipzig. Another online feature is a chat with one of the Student Ambassadors to learn more about the student experience at the university in Leipzig.
Lancaster University UK has by introducing its branch in Germany opened its doors to international students who might not be able to afford higher tuition fees and living cost in the UK but still wanting to study and gain UK degree.
