Online summer programme launched by Scottish ISSOS

The year 2020 was a challenging one for all language schools and for providers focused only on summer programmes, it has allowed looking for ways to improve and expand their offerings.

ISSOS, an international summer school provider has decided to add an online programme to their in-person summer school portfolio. ISSOS Online, a two-week-long online learning program will run from 2-16 July 2021.

It offers students over 50 hours of course content including  20 hours of live, group classes and a tutor catch up session and pre-loaded learning modules.

The courses are opened to students of every nationality, aged 13 – 18 years old. Typically, ISSOS International attract 600+ students for their residential programmes in 3 location at St Andrews, Cambridge and Yale.

The first summer school campus was opened at the University of St Andrews in Scotland in 2006 where the founder Jen Munro went to the university herself. She realizes that 2020 has been very challenging for the students and the launch of the online summer programme is a way of reaching even more students around the world and helping them to enhance their education.

Classes on offer as part of the programme are Study Skills, Creative Writing or Business & Entrepreneurship together with a range of additional enrichment activities, like University Admissions Workshop, Yoga to allow students to have fun and learn new skills.

The online Business & Entrepreneurship is a result of a partnership between ISSOS and WildHearts, another Scottish business that will lead the Micro-Tyco Innovate programme.

The CEO Jen has shared her opinion on the new programme: “The growing partnership with WildHearts is something that we are really excited about.”

ISSOS online programme is now open for application for interested students.
