The University of Kent and the University of London Institute partnership in Paris

The only two UK universities having academic centres in Paris, The University of Kent in Paris and the University of London Institute in Paris (ULIP) decided on cooperation to enhance Paris’s learning experience for both their students by working more closely together especially during these challenging times.
University of Kent’s Paris School of Arts and Culture is a specialist postgraduate centre offering advanced, flexible degrees across the arts, including architecture, history of art, film, drama, and literature. Its modules were designed to take advantage of the city’s vast heritage and culture. Some programmes can be solely studied in Paris, and some can be delivered in Canterbury and Paris. The bonus of studying in Paris is the city itself with many museums, art exhibitions, archives, cinemas enrich the studies.
The University of London Institute in Paris (ULIP) has a long history and started as a centre of the Franco-British guild at the end of the 19th century and became an Institute of the University of London in 1970. Its programmes in Paris include undergraduate programmes in French Studies, International Politics and Cultural Studies and post graduate programme in partnership with Queen Mary University of London.
Through their new collaboration, students at both institutions will benefit from more generous resource sharing and linked activities between the two universities and their student communities. They will also have access to a wider social network and shared knowledge of practical approaches to living and studying in Paris.
The universities will deliver joint seminars and lectures, explore the synergies of research engagement across the two institutions, and cooperate in providing quality education.
The events and activities, both relating to theory and lectures and to enhance the friendship of student communities, will be an excellent way for students to experience and enrich their time in Paris – the city for art, literature, and culture.
